Traditional Chinese Medicine- Acupuncture and Herbal Remedies

Acupuncture has a long and rich history, dating back over 2,000 years. It originated as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which is based on the ancient belief that health is governed by the balance of vital energy, or “Qi". Early practitioners used fine needles to stimulate specific points on the body to restore this balance and encourage healing. The foundational texts, such as the Huangdi Neijing (The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine), helped establish Acupuncture techniques and theories. Over the centuries, Acupuncture spread throughout Asia and eventually to the Western world, where it has gained recognition as a complementary therapy for various conditions. Today, it remains an integral part of holistic health practices across the globe.
