About me…

It all commenced with sorrow, hardship, and illumination.

As a Registered Nurse for nearly 20 years, I dedicated my career to providing compassionate care, but it was through my own journey of deep grief that I discovered the transformative healing power of Acupuncture. The relief I found in this ancient practice not only helped me navigate my personal struggles but also ignited a passion within me to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. This profound experience led me to shift my career focus entirely, allowing me to immerse myself in the holistic principles and healing practices of TCM. Witnessing the remarkable healing outcomes in my patients has reinforced my commitment to this path, as I strive to facilitate their journeys toward wellness and balance through the therapies I now provide.

My undergraduate education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Sciences (BSN-RN) from the University of Texas in San Antonio. I earned by Graduate Degree from the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, TX. focusing on diagnoses and treatment methods with a specialization in Chinese herbal medicine.

I am a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine and board-certified by the NCCAOM, having reached the highest professional standards in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. NCCAOM certification assures patients, employers, and colleagues that the practitioner is skilled and follows safety guidelines in their work. All certified Diplomates must follow the NCCAOM Code of Ethics.

During my administrative role as a Registered Nurse, I served as a Quality Control, Infection Control and Education Instructor in dozens of clinics throughout Austin and neighboring communities. Clinic cleanliness and infection control are of utmost importance for my patients.
